Duolingo Hack for PC, Mac & Linux: Setup Guide

Duolingo Hack for PC, Mac & Linux: Setup Guide

Desktop is where DuoHacker runs with the fewest restrictions — no sandboxing workarounds needed, unlike mobile (see the iPhone & Android guide for that side). Here's setup for each desktop platform.

Windows

  1. Download the Windows build from the homepage.
  2. Run the installer and open DuoHacker alongside the Duolingo desktop app or the Duolingo website in your browser.
  3. Use the in-app account number (find it via the shortcut listed in our FAQ) if you need to contact support.

macOS

  1. Download the macOS build from the homepage.
  2. macOS may show a Gatekeeper warning for software from outside the App Store — this is standard for any app distributed directly rather than through Apple's store, not specific to DuoHacker.
  3. Approve it in System Settings if prompted, then open alongside Duolingo.

Linux

  1. Download the Linux build from the homepage.
  2. Setup steps vary slightly by distribution; check the download page for the current build's requirements.

What to expect once it's running

Auto-solve, hearts removal, and streak repair all work the same way across Windows, macOS, and Linux — see the full feature explanation if you haven't read it yet. If something doesn't look right after install (blank screen, app not responding), our FAQ troubleshooting section covers the common fixes.
